Timeline and key dates for your child's applications for the 11+ in Gloucestershire

Applying for the 11+ Admissions test can be daunting, but I can help guide you through the application process. Below you will find the important dates, whatever year your child is currently in. You will also find the links to register your interest with me in the 11+ tutoring programme and to arrange an informal free assessment to discuss you and your child's individual plan.

In Year 4

If you and your child have decided you'd like to apply for a place at a grammar school, now is the time to consider joining an 11+ tutoring programme for the start of Year 5, as places get booked up quickly.

To ensure your child is as prepared as they can be, please contact me for a free consultation so we can discuss together how to prepare for my Year 5 11+ Tutoring Programme.

Autumn and Spring Terms in Year 5

  1. Begin the 11+ Tutoring Programme with me at the end of September.
  2. Submit your secondary school application to Gloucester Council between the 1st September and the 31st October. Note: Your child won't be offered a place in a grammar school if it has not been listed on your secondary school application form.
  3. Autumn and Spring terms focus on learning content and question styles. As Spring progresses, familiarisation with tests and timings begin to be the focus.

Summer Term in Year 5

  1. Summer Term sees us increase focus on exam tips and techniques, and timings.
